Description

The Ainsley is a 610mm-wide bathroom wall light with three opal glass shades mounted on turned brass cups along a brushed brass horizontal bar. Each cup houses a 3W G9 LED bulb (included), delivering 3000K warm white light through the cased opal glass. The IP44 rating allows installation in bathroom zones 2 and 3, making it suitable for fitting above mirrors, along vanity walls or flanking a basin.

Designed for master bathrooms, ensuites and large powder rooms, the Ainsley provides 206mm of projection from the wall, keeping the shades clear of mirrors and tile edges. The three-light configuration spreads illumination across a 1.5-2m vanity run or mirror width, providing enough light for grooming tasks without harsh shadows. The opal glass softens the light output and reduces glare when positioned at eye level.

The brushed brass finish shows minimal visible brushstroke texture and a warm golden tone that pairs with brass taps, heated towel rails and other warm metallic bathroom fittings. Each turned cup features a stepped profile that echoes mid-century and retro-modern bathroom design, while the cased opal glass references traditional schoolhouse and apothecary lighting. The integrated G9 LEDs sit behind the glass rather than being exposed, maintaining a clean silhouette.

Is the Ainsley suitable for bathroom use?

Yes. The IP44 rating allows installation in bathroom zones 2 and 3. This means it can be fitted above a basin, along a vanity wall, or in areas more than 600mm from the edge of a bath or shower tray. It is not suitable for zone 1 (directly above a bath or inside a shower enclosure).

Are the bulbs replaceable?

The Ainsley comes with three 3W G9 LED bulbs already fitted. G9 bulbs are replaceable — if one fails, source a standard G9 LED bulb with a maximum wattage of 3W and a colour temperature of 3000K to match the original light output.

What width vanity or mirror does it suit?

The 610mm fitting width works best above vanities or mirrors between 1.2-2m wide. For narrower vanities (under 1m), the single-light or two-light versions of the Ainsley range may be more proportionate.

Can it be fitted horizontally and vertically?

The Ainsley is designed for horizontal mounting only. The three shades sit along a horizontal bar, and the fitting backplate is shaped for horizontal wall installation.
