Description

The Ainsley is a single-light wall fitting with a white opal glass shade suspended from a turned-cup polished chrome arm fixed to a circular chrome wall plate. The fitting includes a 3W G9 LED bulb at 3000K colour temperature, which casts warm white light through the cased opal glass. The turned-cup detail on the supporting arm adds a classical ornamental element to an otherwise clean modern profile.

Designed for bathrooms, hallways and bedrooms, the Ainsley carries an IP44 rating, meaning it resists water splashes and can be fitted in bathroom zones 2 and 3 (outside the immediate shower or bath enclosure). The 206mm projection from the wall suits positions either side of a bathroom mirror, flanking a hallway door, or as bedside lighting where a wall-mounted fitting frees up space on a bedside table. The 160mm width and 191mm height give the fitting presence without dominating narrow wall sections.

Can this be used in a bathroom?

Yes. The IP44 rating means the fitting resists water splashes and can be installed in bathroom zones 2 and 3. It cannot be fitted directly above a shower or bath (zone 1) or within the immediate shower enclosure (zone 0).

Is the LED replaceable?

Yes. The fitting takes a standard G9 capsule bulb. When the included 3W LED reaches the end of its life, it can be replaced with any G9 bulb up to 3W. G9 LED bulbs are widely available in 2700K-3000K warm white or 4000K neutral white.

What's the light output?

The 3W G9 LED at 3000K typically produces around 250-300 lumens, which gives a soft ambient glow suitable for bathroom task lighting when paired with other fittings, or as bedside or hallway accent lighting. It is not a high-output downlight.

Can it be fitted upside down?
