Designed for use with ES/E27 pendant lamp holders or large floor lamp frames, the Aethera suits rooms with ceiling heights of 2.7m or above when used as a pendant, or positioned 1.6-1.8m above floor level when paired with a floor lamp stand. The neutral dark beige fabric tone sits between taupe and sand, pairing comfortably with warm whites, timber furniture and both contemporary and traditional interiors without committing to a strong colour statement.

The fabric outer is a tight-weave textile that blocks light spill through the sides while the white polycarbonate inner lining reflects and spreads light evenly, avoiding hot-spots or visible bulb outlines. At 700mm diameter the shade requires adequate clearance from walls and furniture — allow 300-400mm from the edge of a dining table to the shade perimeter for comfortable headroom. The cylinder profile runs 300mm in height, giving a drum-like proportion that balances width without appearing squat.

The Aethera is a shade-only product designed to fit standard ES/E27 pendant lamp holders or large floor lamp frames with compatible shade carriers. It does not include the bulb, cable, ceiling rose or lamp stand — those must be purchased separately or already owned.

What size room does a 70cm shade suit?

A 70cm diameter shade is one of the larger fabric shades available and suits dining rooms, living rooms and entrance halls with floor areas of 20m² or above. In smaller rooms the shade may dominate the space. For 12-18m² rooms a 50-60cm shade typically provides better visual balance.

Does the beige fabric vary in tone?
