Description

The Knightsbridge CPL6CT is a 140mm circular LED panel with integrated 6W SMD LEDs and CCT switching that allows the colour temperature to be changed between 3000K warm white, 4000K neutral white, and 6000K cool white. The switch is accessed via a button on the luminaire itself, or can be toggled via a standard wall switch when wired to do so. The panel can be surface-mounted (using the included brackets) with a 15mm profile, or recessed into ceiling cut-outs between 55mm and 100mm diameter via adjustable fixing brackets.

Designed for domestic, commercial and retail spaces needing a compact, low-profile LED downlight, the panel suits bedrooms, hallways, kitchens, offices, retail changing rooms and care homes. The dual-mounting capability makes it a direct replacement for older recessed CFL or fluorescent downlights without requiring a new cut-out, and the 15mm surface-mounting profile is shallow enough for solid ceilings where recessed installation is not possible. The 120-degree beam angle provides broad, even illumination across a 2-3m diameter floor area from a typical 2.4m ceiling height.

The polycarbonate housing is finished in white and the opal diffuser spreads light evenly without hot-spotting or glare. The integrated driver is Class II double-insulated, requiring no earth connection. The 0.3m cable length is suitable for standard junction-box wiring. The panel carries an IP20 rating (suitable for dry indoor locations) and a 3-year manufacturer warranty. Optional magnetic decorative bezels are available separately to add a finished edge detail when surface-mounted.

How is the colour temperature changed?

The CCT switch is accessed via a small button on the luminaire body. Press the button to cycle between 3000K (warm white), 4000K (neutral white) and 6000K (cool white). Alternatively, the panel can be wired to toggle CCT via a standard wall switch if preferred.

What cut-out sizes does it fit for recessed installation?

The adjustable recessed brackets fit existing ceiling cut-outs between 55mm and 100mm diameter. A minimum 50mm ceiling void is required above the cut-out to house the driver and rear of the panel.

Is it dimmable?

No. The integrated driver does not support dimming. The panel operates at a fixed 6W output on 230V mains.

Can it be used in bathrooms?

The IP20 rating means it is suitable for dry indoor locations only. It cannot be installed in bathroom zones 1, 2 or 3 where an IP44 or IP65 rating is required.
