Description

This 4W LED golf ball bulb features a clear glass envelope with visible LED filament strips, an E14 small Edison screw base, and a 45mm diameter compact globe shape. The bulb outputs 400 lumens at 3000K warm white, delivering the same light level as a traditional 40W incandescent whilst drawing only 4W from the mains. The clear glass allows the internal filament structure to remain visible when the bulb is off, making it suitable for exposed-bulb fittings.

Designed for small pendant shades, chandeliers with multiple E14 sockets, wall sconces and decorative table lamps where the bulb remains visible during use. The 78mm total height and 45mm width fit within most compact lamp shades and multi-bulb fittings without protruding beyond the shade edge. The E14 base (also called SES or small Edison screw) is common in UK and European decorative lighting, particularly in chandeliers, bedside lamps and wall lights.

The LED filament construction mimics the appearance of traditional tungsten filament bulbs whilst running significantly cooler and lasting approximately 15,000-25,000 hours depending on usage patterns. The 3000K colour temperature produces a warm white light comparable to halogen or incandescent sources, avoiding the cooler blue-toned light of some LED bulbs. The bulb is non-dimmable and should be used on standard on/off switching circuits only.

Frequently Asked

Is this bulb dimmable?

No. This bulb is rated as non-dimmable and should only be used with standard on/off light switches. Using it with a dimmer switch may cause flickering, buzzing or premature failure.

What is the E14 base type?

E14 is a small Edison screw base, also called SES (Small Edison Screw). It has a 14mm diameter threaded base and is common in UK and European decorative lighting, particularly chandeliers, wall lights and smaller table lamps. It is smaller than the standard E27 Edison screw base.

What does 3000K mean?

3000K is the colour temperature of the light, measured in Kelvin. At 3000K this bulb produces a warm white light similar to traditional incandescent and halogen bulbs, with a slight yellow-orange tone. This is warmer than daylight (5000K-6500K) and is typically preferred for living spaces, bedrooms and dining areas.

How bright is 400 lumens?

400 lumens is roughly equivalent to a traditional 40W incandescent bulb. This level of brightness suits decorative fittings, bedside lamps, accent lighting and multi-bulb chandeliers where multiple bulbs combine to provide the total room illumination.
