Description

The Maytoni Trinity right power input connector feeds mains power into a 3-phase track lighting system from the right-hand side, distributing 220-240V AC across three independent circuits. The 10cm black plastic housing contains the internal phase separation that allows track lights to be wired to phase 1, 2 or 3, enabling three separate groups of lights to be controlled independently on a single track run.

Designed for commercial, retail and residential track installations where multiple lighting zones are needed without running separate track sections, the connector mounts directly onto the track profile and accepts the incoming mains cable through a rear or side entry point depending on installation preference. The IP20 rating restricts use to dry indoor environments only — not suitable for bathrooms, outdoor canopies or areas exposed to moisture.

The black plastic construction keeps the connector lightweight at approximately 50g and matches the finish of black track profiles from Maytoni's Trinity range and most third-party 3-phase track systems. The 3.3cm height and 3.2cm width sit flush with standard track profiles, so the connector does not project visibly below the track line once installed. Right-handed orientation means the power cable enters from the right when facing the track, with the track extending to the left from the connector.

Frequently Asked

What does 3-phase track mean?

A 3-phase track system splits the mains power into three independent circuits running along the same track profile. Each track light can be wired to phase 1, 2 or 3, allowing you to control three separate groups of lights using three separate switches or dimmers without installing three separate track runs.

What's the difference between right and left power inputs?

The orientation determines which end of the track the mains cable enters. A right power input has the cable entry on the right-hand side when facing the track, with the track extending to the left. Choose based on where your ceiling rose or junction box is positioned relative to the track run.

Is this compatible with other 3-phase track brands?

Maytoni Trinity connectors are designed for Maytoni Trinity track profiles. Compatibility with other brands depends on the exact track profile dimensions and phase layout. If mixing brands, check the track profile cross-section matches before ordering.

Does this need professional installation?

Yes. The power input connector handles mains voltage and requires correct wiring of live, neutral and earth conductors to the three track phases. Installation must be carried out by a qualified electrician in accordance with UK wiring regulations.
