Description

The Maytoni Trinity left power input is a 10cm white plastic connector that feeds mains power into a 3-phase track lighting system from the left-hand side. The connector slots into the track rail and provides the electrical link between fixed ceiling wiring and the three live circuits that run through the track, allowing spotlights and pendant adaptors fitted to the track to draw power.

Designed for modular track lighting installations in retail spaces, galleries, offices and residential rooms where multiple spotlights need to be controlled on separate circuits, the left power input determines where on the track run the mains supply enters. The orientation ('left') refers to the direction the feed cable exits the connector body when viewing the track from the front, which matters when planning cable runs from ceiling roses or junction boxes.

The white plastic housing measures 10cm long by 3.2cm wide by 3.3cm high, fitting flush with the track profile once installed. The IP20 rating means the connector is suitable for dry indoor locations only and should not be used in bathrooms, outdoor canopies or any environment where moisture is present. The 220-240V AC rating matches standard UK mains voltage.

Frequently Asked

What does 'left power input' mean?

The orientation refers to the side where the feed cable exits the connector when viewing the track from the front. A 'left' input means the cable runs out to the left, which affects where you position the connector relative to your ceiling rose or junction box.

Is this compatible with all 3-phase track systems?

This connector is designed for the Maytoni Trinity track system. 3-phase track standards vary between manufacturers, so confirm compatibility with your existing track before ordering. Maytoni Trinity track components are cross-compatible within the Trinity range.

Can it be used outdoors or in bathrooms?

No. The IP20 rating means this connector is suitable for dry indoor locations only. It should not be used in bathrooms, outdoor canopies, or anywhere exposed to moisture.

Does installation require an electrician?

Yes. Connecting mains voltage to track lighting must be carried out by a qualified electrician in accordance with UK wiring regulations. The power input connects to fixed ceiling wiring and requires safe isolation before installation.
