Description

The Knightsbridge 24V yellow LED strip light is a 1m length of flexible LED tape with 60 surface-mounted 2835 SMD LEDs per metre, drawing 4.8W and producing 105 lumens of yellow light. The strip is 8mm wide and 2.1mm thick, with a self-adhesive 3M backing for fixing to clean, dry surfaces. The yellow output suits accent lighting, architectural features, cove lighting and under-cabinet applications where coloured light is needed rather than white task illumination.

Designed for internal use only with an IP20 rating, the strip requires a separate 24V constant voltage LED driver (sold separately) and can be dimmed when paired with appropriate dimming control gear. The strip can be cut to length at 100mm intervals marked on the tape, allowing it to be fitted to exact measurements. Maximum continuous run length is 20m before voltage drop affects brightness.

The flexible silicone construction allows the strip to be bent around curves, corners and irregular surfaces with a minimum bend radius that prevents damage to the LED circuitry. The 3M adhesive backing bonds to most clean surfaces including metal, wood, plaster and glass, though rough or porous surfaces may require additional mechanical fixing or an aluminium profile channel. Knightsbridge produces a range of compatible drivers, dimming controllers, connectors and aluminium profiles (all sold separately) to support professional installation.

The yellow light colour is saturated amber rather than warm white, making it suitable for decorative accent lighting, themed hospitality environments, signage backlighting and architectural detail work where strong colour is the design intent. The strip requires a 24V DC constant voltage LED driver. For a 1m length at 4.8W, a driver rated 10W or above provides headroom. Longer runs require higher-wattage drivers calculated at 4.8W per metre plus 20% overhead. Knightsbridge LED drivers compatible with this strip are available separately.

Can the strip be cut to shorter lengths?

Yes. The strip can be cut at 100mm intervals marked on the tape. Cutting between these marked points damages the circuit and stops the LEDs from working beyond the cut point.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, when paired with a dimmable 24V LED driver and appropriate dimming control gear. The strip itself is passive and responds to the driver's output voltage. Compatibility depends on the driver and dimmer combination.

Can it be used outdoors or in bathrooms?
