Description
The Knightsbridge 24V RGBW LED strip light combines RGB colour-changing capability with a dedicated 6000K daylight white channel, delivering 260 lumens per metre from 36 x 5050 SMD LEDs. The strip runs on 24V DC low voltage, draws 9W per metre, and arrives as a 1m section ready to install with 3M self-adhesive tape backing already applied.
Designed for interior feature lighting, cove lighting, under-cabinet lighting and indirect accent installations, the strip requires a separate 24V constant voltage driver and an RGBW controller to operate (both sold separately). The IP20 rating limits this strip to dry internal locations only — bathrooms, outdoor installations and damp environments require the IP67 variant. The strip can be cut to length at 166mm intervals, allowing precise fitting to alcoves, shelving runs and cabinet dimensions.
The 12mm width and 1.8mm profile sit flat against most surfaces without visible projection once installed, making the strip suitable for recessed aluminium profiles or direct surface mounting where the light source itself needs to remain hidden. The maximum continuous run is 10m — longer installations require multiple driver feeds to maintain consistent brightness across the run. The strip carries CE certification, a CRI rating above 85 for accurate colour rendering in white mode, and a 120-degree beam angle that washes light evenly across adjacent surfaces.

Frequently Asked
What driver and controller does this strip need?
The strip requires a separate 24V constant voltage LED driver sized to match the total wattage of your installation (9W per metre), plus an RGBW controller to manage colour-changing and white channel output. Both are sold separately. Knightsbridge produces compatible drivers and controllers — search for 24V LED drivers and RGBW controllers on this site.
Can this strip be used in bathrooms?
No. The IP20 rating means this strip is not protected against moisture and must only be installed in dry internal locations. For bathrooms and other damp environments, use the IP67 variant of this strip.
Can the strip be cut to a specific length?
Yes. The strip has cut marks at 166mm intervals. Cut only at these marked points using sharp scissors, ensuring you do not damage the copper contact pads at the cut point. Cutting between the marked intervals will damage the circuit and prevent that section from working.
What's the difference between RGB and RGBW?
RGB strips produce colour by mixing red, green and blue LEDs but cannot produce a true white light — their 'white' output looks pale blue or pink. RGBW strips add a fourth channel of dedicated white LEDs (6000K in this model), giving proper white light for task lighting alongside the colour-changing capability.
