Description

The Knightsbridge LFC24IPRGB1M is a 1m RGB LED strip light operating on 24V DC, rated IP67 for full dust and water-ingress protection in both indoor and outdoor installations. The strip contains 36 x 5050 SMD RGB LEDs per metre, giving colour-changing capability across the full visible spectrum when paired with a compatible RGB controller and remote (sold separately).

Designed for use in kitchens, bathrooms, garden lighting, architectural accent lighting and feature installations where weather protection or moisture resistance is required, the IP67 rating allows the strip to be installed in zones around showers, behind outdoor cladding, under decking, in garden borders and in similar exposed locations. The silicone encapsulation protects the LEDs and circuit board from water spray, condensation and brief submersion.

The strip measures 12.25mm wide (15.5mm with end caps fitted) and 8.5mm thick, making it suitable for recessing into narrow aluminium profiles or surface-mounting with the included 3M self-adhesive backing. Each metre draws 9W on full white output, with lower power draw on single-colour modes. The strip can be cut to length at 166mm intervals where marked, and multiple strips can be joined up to a maximum continuous run of 10m from a single driver output.

Installation requires a separate 24V constant-voltage LED driver (sold separately) sized to match the total wattage of the strip run, plus an RGB controller and remote to switch colours and set lighting modes. Knightsbridge supplies compatible drivers, controllers, IP67 end caps (LFCFIX12), fixing kits (FLEXFIXL) and aluminium mounting profiles as separate items. The strip is supplied on a reel with protective backing on the adhesive layer.

For longer runs, size the driver to match total wattage (e.g. 45W driver for a 5m run). Can it be used outdoors?

Yes. The IP67 rating protects against dust ingress and water immersion up to 1m depth for 30 minutes, making it suitable for outdoor garden lighting, patios, balconies and similar exposed locations. The strip should still be installed with some weather protection (under eaves, in profiles, behind cladding) to maximise service life.

Can I cut it to a shorter length?

Yes. The strip can be cut at marked intervals of 166mm. After cutting, the exposed end should be sealed with an IP67 end cap (LFCFIX12, sold separately) to maintain water resistance.

What is the maximum run length?

A maximum continuous run of 10m can be powered from a single driver output before voltage drop affects colour consistency and brightness. Longer installations require additional driver outputs or separate parallel runs.
