The Knightsbridge 13A 1-gang SP switched socket adds two USB-A charging ports behind a polished chrome screwless faceplate with a white insert. The dual USB ports share a combined 5V 2.1A output, allowing two devices to charge simultaneously from mains power without needing separate plug adaptors. The single-pole switching isolates the live line when the socket is turned off.

Designed for residential, hospitality and office installation, the socket fits a standard 25-35mm back box depth depending on wiring conditions and uses a screwless cover plate that clips onto a separate metal sub-frame. This means there are no visible screws or fixings on the wall once installed, giving a cleaner finish than traditional screw-fixed plates. The 13A rating handles standard UK appliance loads up to 2,990W.

The polished chrome finish provides a bright metallic accent that pairs well with contemporary, minimalist and white-toned interiors. The white insert behind the chrome faceplate hides the back of the cover plate and gives a defined edge to the socket and USB apertures. The 201 stainless steel construction with a built-in gasket behind the plate improves moisture resistance compared to standard plastic-backed sockets. The socket is certified to BS1363-2, EMC compliant and ErP Ready.
