Description

The Knightsbridge 12W circular LED panel is a 165mm diameter ceiling light with integrated SMD LEDs and CCT switching that allows selection between 3000K warm white (850lm), 4000K neutral white (940lm) or 6000K cool white (920lm) using a switch on the luminaire or via the wall switch. The panel can be installed as a recessed downlight or surface-mounted, using the same fitting with different brackets.

Designed as a replacement for traditional CFL or fluorescent recessed downlights in domestic, commercial and retail settings, the panel fits apertures between 55-125mm when recessed using adjustable spring-loaded brackets, or can be surface-mounted using included brackets with no cutout required. The 15mm projection when surface-mounted and 50mm void requirement when recessed make it suitable for low-ceiling installations. The integrated driver removes the need for external control gear.

The polycarbonate body is finished in white with an opal diffuser that spreads the 120-degree beam across the ceiling plane without visible LED hotspots. The Class II double-insulated construction requires only live and neutral connection with no earth terminal needed. The IP20 rating restricts use to dry interior locations. Optional magnetic decorative bezels are available separately to customise the appearance once installed.

The CCT function is set by powering the panel on and off in sequence — each power cycle steps through the three colour temperatures, allowing easy selection without additional control wiring. The panel carries a 3-year warranty and an L70B50 rating of 30,000 hours, meaning 70% of units will still deliver at least 70% of initial lumens at 30,000 hours of operation.

How do I change the colour temperature?

The CCT is changed by switching the mains power to the panel on and off at the wall switch. Each power cycle steps through 3000K warm white, 4000K neutral white and 6000K cool white in sequence. The panel remembers the last-selected temperature when powered back on.

Can this be installed recessed and surface-mounted?

Yes. The same panel can be installed recessed using spring-loaded adjustable brackets for ceiling apertures between 55-125mm, or surface-mounted using the included surface brackets with no cutout required. The recessed installation requires a minimum 50mm void depth above the ceiling.

Is the panel dimmable?

No. The integrated driver does not support dimming. The panel operates at full output on standard 230V mains switching only.

What size room does this suit?
