Description
The ESP Nighthawk Plus is a 10W LED outdoor floodlight in a white powder-coated die-cast aluminium housing with an IP65 weatherproof rating. The integrated LED delivers 800 lumens at 4000K neutral white through a textured polycarbonate diffuser that spreads the beam to reduce glare and hotspots. A 1m power cord with UK plug is included, and the bracket adjusts through approximately 90 degrees to direct light onto walls, pathways, driveways or garden features.
Designed for residential and light commercial exterior lighting, the floodlight mounts via the bracket onto brick, block or timber walls using the included fixing accessories. The 110mm height and 99mm width give a compact footprint that sits flush against most surfaces without protruding significantly. The IP65 rating protects the internal LED and driver from dust ingress and water jets, making the fitting suitable for UK exterior conditions including rain and snow.
The white powder-coated finish provides a neutral appearance that blends with white render, UPVC fascias and light-coloured brickwork. The textured diffuser is made from polycarbonate rather than glass, giving impact resistance if struck by garden tools or footballs. The 4000K colour temperature produces a neutral white light that sits between the warmer 3000K used for decorative lighting and the cooler 6000K used for high-security applications, making it suitable for general garden, driveway and entrance lighting where clear visibility is needed without the harshness of cool-white LEDs.

Frequently Asked
What does IP65 mean for outdoor use?
IP65 means the floodlight is fully protected against dust ingress (the '6') and can withstand water jets from any direction (the '5'). This makes it suitable for UK exterior use in rain, snow and exposed positions, but it is not submersible and should not be installed where it will be submerged or pooled in standing water.
Can the bracket angle be adjusted after installation?
Yes. The bracket pivots through approximately 90 degrees and can be repositioned after installation by loosening the side pivot bolt, adjusting the angle, and re-tightening. This allows the light direction to be changed seasonally or if the garden layout changes.
What area does 800 lumens cover?
At 800 lumens and 4000K, the floodlight provides functional visibility for a typical residential driveway (approximately 3-4m wide) or garden path when mounted 2-2.5m above ground level. For larger areas or higher mounting positions, multiple units or higher-wattage floodlights may be needed.
Is the LED replaceable?
No. The LED is integrated into the driver and housing, so the entire unit is replaced at end-of-life rather than changing a bulb. LED lifespan is typically 20,000-30,000 hours depending on operating conditions.
