A tapered cream dome head, narrow at the crown and widening to an open rim, hung off a chrome pivot from a straight upright post so it tips down at an angle. The inside of the dome is lined in the same warm cream and shows as a bright wedge from where you sit. The post is a plain round tube in the same cream, rising from a low round disc base with a softly rounded edge. A white flex loops over the top of the post and drops behind it, on show rather than hidden. The pivot is the only bright metal on the lamp.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt is a lamp for a side table, a desk or a bedside, close enough to reach the switch from where you sit, and it lights the surface it stands on rather than the whole room.
