yebra-led-downlight-black
Yebra LED Downlight - Black

Description

The Yebra LED Downlight is a compact, round recessed light with a black plastic body and a deep, matt silver reflector set inside a black trim. It measures 8.7cm across and needs a cut-out of 6.8cm, with a recess depth of 4.4cm, so it asks for only a shallow space behind the ceiling. The LED is integrated, drawing 4.8W to give 450lm, and it runs on 220-240V mains at 50/60Hz. It carries an IP44 rating, meaning it is protected from splashing water, so damp rooms are well within its reach.

Because the colour temperature is adjustable between 2700K, 4000K and 6500K, the same downlight can give a warm, relaxed glow in a living room or bedroom, a neutral white for a kitchen or home office, and a cool daylight tone where you want to see detail clearly, such as a utility room or dressing area. It is dimmable as well, so the level can come down for a quieter evening. The IP44 rating makes it a sensible choice for a bathroom, where a qualified electrician will confirm the right zone, and outdoors for a covered porch ceiling. We find the black finish gives a crisp, graphic look against white plaster, and it sits comfortably in darker painted ceilings.

The body is plastic, and there is no switch on the fitting itself: it is switched at the wall, so it runs from an ordinary wall switch. Flat spring clips on the housing hold it in the ceiling. As a wired-in mains light, it is installed by a qualified electrician, and the installation instructions come as a download. Its energy class is E, and it weighs 0.216KG packed. Before you order, check that your ceiling void gives 4.4cm of depth and that a 6.8cm hole suits the spot you have in mind.

Specification

Diameter

8.7cm

Body Material

Plastic

Body Colour

Black

Light Source

LED, integrated

Wattage

4.8W

Lumens

450lm

Colour Temperature

2700K, 4000K, 6500K

Dimmable

Yes

Features

Adjustable colour temperature

Switch

None (switched at the wall)

IP Rating

IP44

Protection Class

Class II

Voltage

220-240V, 50/60Hz

Energy Class

E

Recess Depth

4.4cm

Cut-Out

6.8cm

Weight (packed)

0.216KG

Downloads

Installation Instructions (PDF)

Frequently Asked

What does the IP44 rating mean?

IP44 means the downlight is protected from splashing water, so it suits damp rooms such as a kitchen or utility room, as well as a covered porch ceiling outdoors.

Which colour temperatures can I choose?

The colour temperature is adjustable between 2700K for a warm glow, 4000K for a neutral white and 6500K for a cool daylight tone.

What size hole does it need?

It needs a cut-out of 6.8cm and a recess depth of 4.4cm, while the downlight itself measures 8.7cm in diameter.

Is the downlight dimmable?

Yes, it is dimmable, so you can lower the light level from its full 450lm output whenever the room calls for something softer.

How bright is the light?

The integrated LED draws 4.8W and produces 450lm, and it runs on 220-240V mains at 50/60Hz.

Does it have its own switch?

No, there is no switch on the fitting; it is switched at the wall like any ordinary ceiling light.
