yatin-acacia-garden-bench-natural
Yatin Acacia Garden Bench - Natural

Description

The Yatin is a garden bench 131cm wide, 87cm deep and 75cm high, built from acacia slats laid lengthwise in one continuous curve. There is no joint between seat and back: the run of slats starts at the front edge, dips through the seat and sweeps up into a reclined back. The slats sit on a metal frame with crossed legs at each end and one long stretcher near the ground, all of it in a matt rust bronze. The acacia is a pale honey with the grain running darker through it.

The back reclines rather than standing upright, which is where the 87cm depth goes, so this is a bench to sit back in rather than perch on. At 131cm it takes two people with room between them. It is made for outdoor use, and it takes a paved terrace with the matching Yatin side table beside it. The slats are spaced, so rain runs through rather than standing on the seat.

The wood is acacia, a hard timber with a high oil content that makes it weather resistant, and the frame is iron. Colour, shading and grain vary between one part of a piece and another, and knots are normal in the timber and do not affect how it performs. Acacia left in the weather can open cracks along the grain, which is a property of the wood rather than a fault. The Yatin range also holds a chair, a side table and a coffee table. No cushion is included.

Specification

Height

75cm

Width

131cm

Depth

87cm

Material

Acacia & Iron

Colour

Natural

Suitable for Outdoor Use

Yes

Weight

31kg

Frequently Asked

How big is the bench?

131cm wide, 87cm deep and 75cm high.

How many people does it seat?

Two, with room between them.

Can it stay outside?

It is made for outdoor use.
