A large opal glass egg standing upright on a slim grey stem, the glass flat-topped and full at the belly and drawn in a little at the base where it meets the metal. The glass is warm white and evenly diffusing, so the whole body glows and no lamp shows through as a point. A fine pull cord hangs from just under the glass. The stem is a plain round tube in matt grey, broken by a sliding joint partway down, and it rises from a low round disc base in the same grey. The glass is large against the stem, which is the whole of the lamp's proportion. It measures 32cm across.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt stands beside a chair or at the end of a sofa, where it puts one pool of light exactly where it is needed without lighting the whole space.
