welcome-to-our-herd-highland-cow-ceramic-plaque-teal
"Welcome To Our Herd" Highland Cow Ceramic Plaque - Teal

Description

This ceramic plaque greets everyone who comes through the door with the words "welcome to our HERD", set in raised white lettering above a shaggy Highland cow gazing straight out at you. The cow has a golden-brown coat, a soft fringe across its brow and sweeping pale horns, with little yellow flowers tucked about its head. Around it grows a painted meadow of white daisies, yellow and orange blooms, pink flowers and frothy white umbels, all set against a deep teal ground. The plaque is square, with a tan cord threaded through two holes along its top edge so it hangs straight from a single hook or nail.

It is a cheerful way to say hello in a hallway or just inside the front door, where it tells visitors straight away what sort of household they have walked into. It sits just as happily on a kitchen wall, in a boot room or beside the coat pegs, and the teal background looks lovely with natural wood, cream walls and soft sage or blue paintwork. The words make a gentle joke about family life, so it suits a lively home full of comings and goings every bit as well as a quiet country cottage.

The plaque is made of ceramic and is 1cm deep, so it sits close to the wall without jutting out. Hang it by its cord from a picture hook or small nail, and as ceramic can chip or crack if knocked, choose a spot clear of swinging doors. To keep it looking fresh, dust it with a soft dry cloth or wipe it gently with a damp cloth and dry it straight after; avoid soaking it or using anything abrasive. We think it looks best at eye level, and its friendly cow and warm words make it a good-humoured gift as well as a cheerful welcome for your own door.

Specification

Material

Ceramic

Colour

Teal

Height

24cm

Width

15cm

Depth

1cm

Weight

0.193kg

Design

Welcome To Our Herd

Frequently Asked

What does the plaque say?

It reads "welcome to our HERD" in raised white lettering, with HERD in larger capitals just above the painted Highland cow.

How does the plaque hang?

A tan cord is threaded through two holes along the top edge, so it hangs from a single picture hook or small nail.

What is the plaque made of?

The plaque is ceramic and 1cm deep, decorated with a Highland cow and painted wild flowers on a deep teal background.

How should I clean it?

Dust it with a soft dry cloth or wipe it gently with a damp cloth and dry it straight away, avoiding anything abrasive.

Where would it look best?

We like it in a hallway or just inside the front door, on a kitchen wall or in a boot room, wherever visitors arrive.

Does it make a good gift?

Yes, its cheerful words and friendly Highland cow make it a warm, good-humoured present for a home where everyone is welcome.
