waxflower-artificial-stem-white
Waxflower Artificial Stem - White

Description

This artificial waxflower stem is a single tall stem that branches near the top into loose sprays of small white flowers, each a neat daisy-like head set among buds and a few leaves. It stands 91cm tall and its sprays spread 15cm across, so it brings real height to an arrangement without taking up much width. It is made of polyethylene, iron and polyester and weighs 0.45KG, so it is easy to move from vase to vase as the seasons change.

At 91cm tall it suits a tall vase or a floor vase, where the bare lower stem drops out of sight and the flowers sit high. One stem on its own makes a light, airy display on a windowsill, a mantelpiece or a dining table; several together give a fuller cloud of white for a hallway or a living room. It also works well as a filler in a mixed bouquet, its small flowers threading between larger blooms and broad leaves. As an artificial stem it never wilts and needs no water, which makes it a sensible choice for a high shelf or any spot that is awkward to reach.

The maker asks that the stem be handled with care, so that the leaves and flowerheads do not break. Before use it must be trimmed and folded into place, as the maker's care note says: spend a moment bending each spray outwards and turning the flowers so the stem looks full and natural from every side rather than flat. For the most natural look, let one spray lean out over the rim of the vase and pair the stem with simple greenery, so the small white flowers catch the eye.

Specification

Height

91cm

Diameter

15cm

Material

Polyethylene, Iron, Polyester

Colour

White

Care

Handle with care to avoid breakage of the leaves/flowerheads.
