walton-waffle-check-polyester-throw-sage
Walton Waffle Check Polyester Throw - Sage

Description

The Walton Waffle Throw is a textured waffle-weave throw worked with a subtle check across its surface, finished at the ends with a fringed trim. It is made from a blend of 65% polyester and 35% nylon, and measures 130 x 180cm, a single throw size that suits a two-seater sofa or the foot of a bed. The waffle structure is what gives the piece its character: the raised grid of the weave traps air, so a lightweight throw feels warmer than its weight suggests, and the check reads as a quiet tonal pattern rather than a bold one.

This is a throw for the sofa and the bedroom rather than anything that needs to take heavy wear. Draped over the arm of a chair or folded across the end of a bed, it adds a soft layer to reach for on a cool evening and a bit of visible texture when it is not in use. The sage shown here is a gentle, muted green that sits easily against wood, cream and warm neutral walls, so it works as a finishing layer rather than a focal point. It is also offered in other colourways, including a soft pink and a pale cream, if you are matching an existing scheme.

Polyester and nylon are both hard-wearing synthetic fibres, which is why a throw made from them holds its shape through regular use and handling. The fringed ends are left loose for a relaxed, informal look, so give them an occasional shake to keep them sitting straight. We have not been given care instructions for this throw, so follow any label sewn into the piece. Fold it over a bench or blanket ladder between uses and it earns its keep as much on display as in use.

Specification

Material

65% polyester, 35% nylon

Design

Check, in a sage green

Construction

Waffle weave with fringed trim

Size

130 x 180cm

Frequently Asked

What size is this throw and what will it cover?

It measures 130 x 180cm, a single throw size that drapes well over a two-seater sofa, an armchair or the foot of a double bed.

What is a waffle weave and why choose it?

A waffle weave forms a raised grid of pockets across the fabric, which adds visible texture and traps air, so the throw feels cosy without being heavy.

What is the throw made from?

It is a blend of 65% polyester and 35% nylon, both durable synthetic fibres that hold their shape well through regular everyday use and handling.

How should I look after the fringed ends?

The fringe is left loose for a relaxed look, so give it an occasional gentle shake to keep the strands sitting straight and untangled.

What colours does the range come in?

This one is a muted sage green, and the range is also offered in other shades including a soft pink and a pale cream, shown alongside it.
