wally-wool-christmas-decoration-with-light-white
Wally Wool Christmas Decoration with Light - White

Description

Wally is a small felted bear made for Christmas. It sits back on its haunches with a string of tiny bulbs looped through its paws and across its lap. It has its own light, and once lit the whole white body glows softly from within, so it is a cheerful figure by day and a gentle glow after dark. The outer is a felted blend of 50% wool and 50% polyester, and the filling is 99% polystyrene and 1% iron. Felting gives a wool blend its dense, soft, slightly fuzzy surface, and here the felt spreads the light evenly across the body. At 14cm long, 12cm wide and 15cm tall, and weighing 0.06KG, it is a tabletop piece.

It sits on a bookshelf, a sideboard, a hall table or a bedroom chest of drawers, and it is light enough to move from room to room as the evenings draw in. It suits a living room that wants a little Christmas cheer without a full display, a desk that could use a friendly face through December, or a spot by the front door where guests will see it as they come in. It also makes a kind gift for anyone who loves a bear, a festive figure or a soft light in the darker months.

Its small eyes, rounded nose and smiling mouth are worked into the felt. The bulbs hang loosely on a fine cord, and the bear sits on a flat, rimmed base. Care is simple. The maker's instruction is spot clean only, with no drying and no ironing, so treat any mark by hand and keep it out of the washing machine. The maker's assembly instructions come as a PDF download. For styling, sit it beside a sprig of greenery, a wrapped present or a stack of books. Place it where its glow catches the eye at dusk, such as a sideboard you pass every evening.

Specification

Width

12cm

Length

14cm

Height

15cm

Material

50% Wool, 50% Polyester, Filling: 99% Polystyrene, 1% Iron

Colour

White

Finish

Felted

Power source

Battery

Batteries

3 x AAA

Batteries included

No

Washing

Spot clean only

Drying

No

Ironing

No

Weight

0.06KG

Downloads

Assembly instructions (PDF)

Frequently Asked

What is the bear made of?

The outer is a felted blend of 50% wool and 50% polyester, and the filling is 99% polystyrene and 1% iron.

How big is it?

It is 14cm long, 12cm wide and 15cm tall, and it weighs 0.06KG.
