vivaldo-1-clear-glass-21-light-pendant-gold
Vivaldo 1 Clear Glass 21 Light Pendant - Gold

Description

The Vivaldo is a gold pendant shaped as a burst of slender rods radiating from a small central sphere, with every rod tipped in clear brilliant glass. The body is steel with a gold plated finish, and it hangs on a fine chain from a round gold ceiling canopy. It measures 68cm across and 149cm high overall. Light comes from 21 G4 lamps of 1.2W each, with 100lm per light, so the glow is spread through the whole sphere rather than coming from one bright point. It is rated IP20, which settles where it lives: indoors, in a dry room.

We would hang it where people gather and linger: over a dining table, in a hallway or stairwell with a tall ceiling, or at the centre of a living room. The glass tips catch the light from the small lamps, so the whole sphere glitters whenever it is lit, and even unlit, the gold rods give the room a strong shape overhead. At 68cm across it wants a little space around it, which makes it a better match for an open room than a narrow landing. It suits anyone who would rather have one confident centrepiece than several smaller lights.

There is no switch on the pendant itself: it is switched at the wall and runs on a 220 to 240V, 50/60Hz mains supply. As a wired-in light, it is installed by a qualified electrician, and the installation instructions are available as a download. The gold plating over steel gives a warm, even metallic finish that runs across every rod and the canopy, so the pendant looks finished from every angle. Packed, it weighs 9.83kg, so we suggest a second pair of hands when you unbox it and lift the sphere clear of its packaging.

Specification

Overall Height

149cm

Diameter

68cm

Body Material

Steel

Body Colour

Gold plated

Shade Material

Brilliant glass

Shade Colour

Clear

Light Source

G4 (bulb included)

Wattage

21 x 1.2W

Lumens

100lm per light (21 lights)

Switch

None (switched at the wall)

IP Rating

IP20

Protection Class

Class I

Voltage

220-240V, 50/60Hz

Energy Class

G

Weight (packed)

9.83kg

Downloads

Installation Instructions (PDF)

Frequently Asked

Can the Vivaldo pendant go in a bathroom?

No. It is rated IP20, so it belongs in dry indoor rooms only, and we would keep it away from bathrooms, the area around a kitchen sink and anywhere outdoors.

How big is the pendant?

It measures 68cm across and 149cm high overall, so it sits most comfortably in a room or stairwell with generous ceiling height and some space around it.

What bulbs does it take?

It takes 21 G4 lamps of 1.2W each, with 100lm per light, so its brightness comes from many small points spread through the sphere.

Does it have its own switch?

No, there is no switch on the pendant itself.
