The body is steel in a polished chrome finish and the shade is white plastic, so the light comes through soft and even rather than as bright points. It measures 40.5cm long and 7cm high and stands 13cm out from the wall, a neat size for running along the top of a mirror. The light source is integrated LED, two lights of 3.2W each giving 300 lumens apiece at 4000K, a clean neutral white. Its IP20 rating settles where it can go: indoors and dry, away from splashing water.

Because of that IP20 rating we would put it over a dressing table mirror, in a bedroom, hallway or dressing room, rather than beside a basin, bath or shower. The neutral white suits the jobs where you want to see colours clearly, such as getting ready in the morning, choosing clothes or doing make-up, and the slim bar keeps the wall looking tidy. The bracket sets the bar 13cm forward of the wall, bringing the light out towards whoever stands at the mirror, which is what most people want from a mirror light. It is a practical choice for anyone who wants clean, even light at a mirror without a bulky fitting.

It has no switch of its own and is switched at the wall, and it is not dimmable, so it gives one steady level of light from the wall switch. It runs at 220-240V, 50/60Hz, carries an energy class of F and weighs 0.6KG packed. As a wired-in mains light it should be installed by a qualified electrician, and the installation instructions are available as a download. Because the LEDs are integrated there is no bulb to buy or replace, and a soft dry cloth keeps the chrome bright.

Specification

Length

40.5cm

Height

7cm

Projection

13cm

Body Material

Steel

Body Colour

Chrome

Shade Material

Plastic

Shade Colour

White

Light Source

LED, integrated

Wattage

2 x 3.2W

Lumens

300lm per light (2 lights)

Colour Temperature

4000K

Dimmable

No

Switch

None (switched at the wall)

IP Rating

IP20

Protection Class

Class II

Voltage

220-240V, 50/60Hz

Energy Class

F

Weight (packed)

0.6KG

Downloads

Installation Instructions (PDF)

Frequently Asked

Can this wall light go in a bathroom?

Its IP20 rating means it is made for indoor, dry rooms, so we would not place it near a basin, bath or shower; it suits a dressing table mirror, bedroom or hallway instead.

How bright is the light?

It has two integrated LED lights of 3.2W each, giving 300 lumens per light at a neutral white 4000K.

Is the light dimmable?

No, it is not dimmable and has no switch of its own, so it is switched at the wall and gives one steady level of light.

How big is the wall light?

It is 40.5cm long and 7cm high, and it stands 13cm out from the wall on its rectangular chrome bracket.

What materials are the body and shade?

The body is steel in a chrome finish and the shade is white plastic, which softens the light from the integrated LEDs.

Does it need a replacement bulb?

No, the LEDs are integrated into the fitting, so there is no separate bulb to buy or replace at any point.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0729/8993/3835/files/virvarne-led-bathroom-wall-light-chrome.jpg?v=1792504673
