valparaiso-clear-glass-13-light-linear-pendant-light-gold
Valparaiso Clear Glass 13 Light Linear Pendant Light - Gold

Description

The Valparaiso is a linear pendant light in a gold finish: an oval steel band hung from a matching ceiling bar on two chains, with tiers of clear, faceted brilliant glass drops falling beneath it. It measures 115cm long, 30cm wide and 110cm high overall, so it hangs as a long, low band of light rather than a single drop. It takes 13 E14 bulbs, each up to 40W, and the bulbs are not included, which leaves the choice of warmth to you. It is rated IP20, which means it belongs indoors in a dry room.

Its long, narrow shape is made for the length of a dining table or a kitchen island, where a round chandelier would light only the middle and leave the ends in shadow. With 13 bulbs spread along the oval, the glass catches the light across its whole length. It suits a dining room, a generous kitchen or a formal hallway with a high ceiling, and anyone after a gold and glass look that feels considered rather than fussy. Because the fitting has no switch of its own, it is turned on and off from the wall switch.

The body is steel with a gold-coloured finish, and the drops are clear brilliant glass, cut with facets that throw light in several directions. It runs on 220-240V mains at 50/60Hz and is wired in, so it should be installed by a qualified electrician, and the installation instructions come as a download. The packed weight is 27.825KG, so plan for a second pair of hands when the box arrives. Fit warm white E14 bulbs if you want the gold band to glow, or cooler ones for a crisper sparkle through the glass.

Specification

Length

115cm

Width

30cm

Overall Height

110cm

Body Material

Steel

Body Colour

Gold-coloured

Shade Material

Brilliant glass

Shade Colour

Clear

Light Source

E14 (bulb not included)

Wattage

Max 13 x 40W

Switch

None (switched at the wall)

IP Rating

IP20

Protection Class

Class I

Voltage

220-240V, 50/60Hz

Weight (packed)

27.825KG

Downloads

Installation Instructions (PDF)

Frequently Asked

Can the Valparaiso pendant go in a bathroom?

No. It is rated IP20, which means it is made for dry indoor rooms such as a dining room, kitchen or hallway, and not for bathrooms or anywhere outdoors.

Which bulbs does it take?

It takes 13 E14 bulbs, each up to a maximum of 40W.
