A spiral is worked into the inside, turning out from the centre in low ridges that hold the glaze darker along every line. The rim is thin and a little uneven, and the glaze thins over it to a dry sandy tone where the clay comes through.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eAt 14cm across and 7cm deep it takes cereal, porridge, a soup or a helping of pasta. It is safe in the dishwasher and in the microwave and it is food safe, so it belongs in daily use.
