There is a drainage hole in the base with a removable plug, so the same pot goes outside with the plug out and indoors with it in. It weighs 6kg empty, which is before compost and a plant, so it is worth siting before filling. Three sizes are made.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe pots are made in Vietnam by coiling: rolls of clay are laid up in layers and then smoothed by hand into the finished shape, which is why the thickness of the wall and the line of the ridges vary from pot to pot. Nothing is glazed, so what is seen is the clay itself.
