tramena-wall-light-6cm-black-gold
Tramena Wall Light 6cm - Black & Gold

Description

The Tramena is a compact wall light made from two matt black steel cylinders, one above the other, joined by a polished gold band and held on a gold rectangular backplate. It is 17cm high and 6cm across, and it stands just 8.5cm out from the wall, so it sits neatly in a hallway or beside a bed. Each cylinder takes a GU10 lamp, one shining up and one shining down, and the rating is 2 x 2.8W with 250lm per light. It is rated IP20, which settles where it goes: indoors, in dry rooms only.

We like it most where a soft wash of light matters more than a bright flood. Fitted in pairs either side of a bed, it casts light up and down the wall, which gives a bedroom a calm, layered look and leaves the bedside table clear for a glass and a book. It works just as well along a landing, in a hallway or beside a mirror in a living room, where the black and gold finish sits comfortably with brass, walnut and darker painted walls. Because it is so slim, it also suits a narrow alcove where a wider wall light would crowd the space.

The body is steel, with a fine textured black coat on the cylinders and a bright gold finish on the centre band and backplate. There is no switch on the light itself, as it is switched at the wall, so it runs from the light switch you already use. As a wired-in mains fitting, it is installed by a qualified electrician, and the installation instructions come as a download. Packed, it weighs 0.616KG, and the energy class is F. Before you order, hold a tape measure against the spot you have in mind: at 8.5cm deep it fits comfortably even on a tight landing.

Specification

Length

6cm

Height

17cm

Projection

8.5cm

Body Material

Steel

Body Colour

Black, gold

Light Source

GU10 (bulb included)

Wattage

2 x 2.8W

Lumens

250lm per light (2 lights)

Switch

None (switched at the wall)

IP Rating

IP20

Protection Class

Class I

Voltage

220-240V, 50/60Hz

Energy Class

F

Weight (packed)

0.616KG

Downloads

Installation Instructions (PDF)

Frequently Asked

Can the Tramena wall light go in a bathroom or outdoors?

No. It is rated IP20, which means it is made for dry indoor rooms such as bedrooms, hallways, landings and living rooms, not for bathrooms or outside walls.

Which bulbs does the Tramena take?

It takes two GU10 lamps, one in each cylinder, with a rating of 2 x 2.8W and 250lm per light, one shining upward and one shining downward.

How big is the Tramena wall light?

It is 17cm high and 6cm across, and it stands 8.5cm out from the wall, so it suits narrow spaces such as landings and alcoves.

Does the light have its own switch?

No, there is no switch on the light itself.
