tortoreto-pendant-light-30cm-white
Tortoreto Pendant Light 30cm - White

Description

The Tortoreto is a slim pendant light in white aluminium: a plain cylinder on a fine white cable, hung from a small round ceiling canopy. It measures 30cm tall overall and 6cm in diameter, so it reads as a neat vertical line rather than a bulky shade. It takes a single GU10 bulb, which is not included, and the tube is open at the base, so the light is directed downwards. It is rated IP20, which settles where it goes: indoors, in dry rooms, away from bathrooms and anywhere damp.

Because the light falls downwards, the Tortoreto works well over a kitchen island, a dining table or a breakfast bar, where you want light on the surface rather than across the whole room. Hung in a row, the slim tubes give a clean, ordered look without blocking the view between people at the table. On its own it suits a bedside, a reading corner or a narrow hallway, and the white finish sits quietly against pale ceilings and walls. It weighs 0.73KG, so the aluminium tube is easy to handle while it is being hung, and the plain cylinder pairs comfortably with modern and minimal interiors alike.

The body is aluminium in a white finish, and the open end shows a black interior, which gives the tube a tidy, finished edge. There is no switch on the light itself: it is switched at the wall and runs on a 220-240V, 50/60Hz mains supply. As a wired-in mains light, it is installed by a qualified electrician, and the installation instructions are available as a download. Before it is hung, choose a GU10 bulb in the colour of light you want for the room, warmer for a dining table or cooler for a work surface.

Specification

Material

Aluminium

Colour

White

IP Rating

IP20

Light Source

GU10 (bulb not included)

Overall Height

30cm

Diameter

6cm

Weight

0.73KG

Protection Class

Class II

Voltage

220-240V, 50/60Hz

Operating Voltage

220-240V, 50/60Hz

Switch

None (switched at the wall)

Downloads

Installation Instructions (PDF)

Frequently Asked

Can the Tortoreto pendant go in a bathroom?

No. It is rated IP20, so it belongs indoors in dry rooms only, and should be kept away from bathrooms and damp spaces.

Which bulb does it take?

It takes a single GU10 bulb, which is not included, so you can choose the brightness and colour of light that suits your room.

How big is the pendant?

It measures 30cm tall overall and 6cm in diameter, a slim tube that suits tight spaces or a row over a table or island.

Does the light have its own switch?

No, there is no switch on the pendant itself, so you turn it on and off from your existing wall switch.

What material is the pendant?

The body is aluminium in a white finish, with a black interior visible at the open base of the tube.
