this-grandma-is-an-absolute-legend-slate-coaster-black
This Grandma Is An Absolute Legend Slate Coaster - Black

Description

This square slate coaster is made for the grandma who has well and truly earned her title. Its black face is engraved in soft grey with the words "This Grandma is an Absolute Legend", set in a lively mix of bold capitals and flowing script, with a row of five small stars beneath. Curling scrolls frame the smaller lines "100% Authentic" and "Aged Perfectly", and the design finishes with "Been there, done that and proud of it". It measures 10cm square and 1cm deep, a comfortable size for an everyday mug, a teacup or a tumbler, and its gently rough, uneven edge sets off the neat lettering nicely.

It earns its place wherever she sits down with a drink: on the kitchen table, on a side table beside her favourite chair, or on the desk where she does the crossword. Every time she sets down her morning cup of tea, there is a little reminder of how much she is loved, and a joke that the whole family is in on. As a present for a grandmother, it says what everyone thinks of her with warmth and a wink, and because a coaster is something she will use every day, it never ends up at the back of a drawer. It is just as fitting from a grandchild as from her own son or daughter.

The coaster is cut from slate, and the lettering is engraved into its black surface, so the words show in a lighter grey against the dark stone. To keep it looking its best, wipe it with a damp cloth and dry it with a soft one, and skip harsh cleaners and long soaks, as is good practice with any slate. Wrap it with a box of her favourite tea or a bar of good chocolate, and we think you have a small present that says a great deal.

Specification

Colour

Black

Size

10 x 10cm

Depth

1cm

Weight

0.122kg

Frequently Asked

How big is the grandma legend coaster?

It is 10cm square and 1cm deep, which gives an everyday mug, a teacup or a tumbler plenty of room to sit.

What words are on the coaster?

It reads "This Grandma is an Absolute Legend", with "100% Authentic", "Aged Perfectly" and "Been there, done that and proud of it" in smaller script beneath.

What is the coaster made of?

It is a black slate coaster, with the words engraved into the surface so they show in a lighter grey against the dark stone.

How do I clean a slate coaster?

Wipe it with a damp cloth and dry it with a soft one; as with any slate, avoid harsh cleaners and long soaks.

Is this a good gift for a grandmother?

Yes, it is made with grandma in mind, and as something she will use with every cup of tea, it makes a warm and funny present from the family.
