the-stable-donkeys-watercolour-print-cup-340ml-off-white
The Stable Donkeys Watercolour Print Cup 340ml - Off White

Description

This watercolour donkey cup brings two shaggy stable donkeys to the table, one dark and one pale, leaning in close with their heads together. The painting wraps the side of the cup in loose, soft brushwork, finished with a few flicks of paint splash around it, so it feels more like a little picture than a pattern. Around the inside of the rim, the words THE STABLE DONKEYS run all the way round in neat capitals, a small detail you notice with every sip. The body is off white with a multi-coloured print, and the cup stands 8cm tall, 13cm wide and 10cm deep, with a generous loop handle.

At 340ml it holds a good-sized cup of tea or a milky coffee, and the wide, round shape opens out towards the rim, which makes it comfortable to wrap both hands around on a cold morning. It sits happily by the kettle, on a desk at work or beside the bed with an evening hot chocolate. The soft, muted colouring suits a country kitchen as well as a plain modern one, and it looks just as good hung on a mug tree or lined up on an open shelf as it does in use.

The decoration is a printed design on an off white body, with the handle left plain so the donkeys take centre stage. To keep the print looking its best, we suggest a gentle hand wash in warm soapy water and a dry with a soft tea towel, rather than scrubbing the decorated side with anything abrasive. As a present it needs little more than a ribbon tied through the handle, and it pairs nicely with a packet of good tea or a bar of chocolate tucked inside.

Specification

Colour

Off white & multi- coloured

Finish

Decal

Height

8cm

Width

13cm

Depth

10cm

Weight

0.03kg

Capacity

340ml

Frequently Asked

How much does the donkey cup hold?

It holds 340ml, which is a good everyday size for a cup of tea, coffee or hot chocolate with room for milk.

How big is the cup?

It stands 8cm tall, 13cm wide and 10cm deep.
