the-football-legend-engraved-square-slate-coaster-black
The Football Legend Engraved Square Slate Coaster - Black

Description

This engraved slate coaster carries a full football tribute across its black face, laid out like an old-fashioned sports badge. 'A True Champion' arches over the top beneath a row of stars, with 'The Football Legend' in big flowing script at its heart. Around the words sit a football, a whistle, a boot and a small trophy, and the line 'They don't make them like this anymore' leads down to a ribbon banner reading 'Best of the Best', with 'Always between the posts' along the foot. Every part of the design is engraved in a soft grey that reads clearly against the dark slate. The coaster is square, 10cm each way and 1cm thick, with rough, uneven edges that give it a rugged look.

At 10cm square it gives a mug of tea, a coffee cup or a glass a firm place to stand, and it looks just as at home on a desk as on a coffee table, a side table or a bedside table. We picture it in a home office, a den, a games room or on a bar shelf, anywhere the football talk never quite stops. Because the message is already engraved, it is ready to give just as it is, a fun way to tell someone they are the best of the best.

The design is engraved into the slate itself, so there is no printed layer sitting on top of the stone. Looking after it is simple: dust it with a soft dry cloth, wipe it with a damp cloth when it needs it, and let it dry fully before the next drink goes down. We like it set beside a favourite armchair with the match on, or wrapped with a favourite mug as a small gift that says plenty.

Specification

Colour

Black

Size

10 x 10cm

Depth

1cm

Weight

0.122kg

Frequently Asked

How big is this slate coaster?

It is square, measuring 10cm across each way and 1cm thick, a comfortable size for a mug of tea, a coffee cup or a glass.

What is the coaster made from?

It is made of slate, a black stone, with the football design engraved into its face in grey and its edges left rough and uneven.

What words are on the coaster?

It reads 'A True Champion', 'The Football Legend', 'They don't make them like this anymore', 'Best of the Best' and 'Always between the posts', with a football, whistle, boot and trophy around them.

Is the design printed or engraved?

The design is engraved into the slate in a soft grey, so it is part of the surface itself rather than a printed layer laid over the top.

How do I clean the coaster?

Dust it with a soft dry cloth and wipe it with a damp cloth when needed, then let the slate dry fully before you use it again.

Does it make a good gift?

We think so: the football tribute is already engraved, so it is ready to give just as it is, and it pairs nicely with a favourite mug.
