the-brook-jacquard-polyester-cushion-forest-green
The Brook Jacquard Polyester Cushion - Forest Green

Description

The Brook is a woodland cushion measuring 55 x 55cm, worked in a jacquard weave on 100% polyester and finished in a deep forest green. The design draws on medieval tapestry work: fallow deer graze among oaks and a weeping willow beside a winding brook, with the classic Morris hand for foliage and small flowering plants filling the ground. It is a large square, generous enough to hold its shape on a garden chair, and it carries a matching piped trim around the edge with a discreet zip along one side.

This is an outdoor cushion, and that is where it earns its keep. The polyester face is water resistant, so a shower or a spilled drink beads and wipes rather than soaking in, which makes it a sensible choice for a patio seat, a garden bench or a bamboo-framed lounge chair. It reads equally well indoors on a sofa or a window seat if you want the woodland scene year round. The green ground sits happily against pale brick, terracotta and natural timber, and pairs with plainer greens and warm neutrals rather than fighting them.

The piping is worked in a matching tone, so the edge is defined without adding a second colour, and the zip closure means the cover comes off when you need it to and the cushion sits flat when it is on. Being polyester, it dries quickly and resists fading better than many natural fibres left outside. The removable cover and the water-resistant face together make this an easy cushion to live with on a terrace. The tapestry-style print rewards a closer look, and it works well grouped in a pair or mixed with other woodland patterns in the same green family.

Specification

Material

100% polyester

Design

Jacquard woodland tapestry print, forest green

Construction

Matching piped trim, zip closure, water-resistant outdoor face

Size

55 x 55cm

Frequently Asked

Can this cushion stay outside?

Yes, it is made for outdoor use.
