The outside is antique black and covered all over in a hand etched pattern, a dense grid of small marks worked in close horizontal bands that catches the light as a fine crosshatch. The inside is antique brass, and it shows at the rim as a band of warm gold against the black.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eIt holds 25 litres and the rim is the widest part of the pot at 36cm, so the opening is as wide as the planter itself. It is suitable for outdoor use as well as indoors. Nothing goes straight into the metal, though: it needs an inner pot.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe planter is aluminium throughout, and the two tones are finishes on the same metal, black outside and antique brass within.
