tapered-rippled-glass-vase-with-raised-dots-20cm-green
Tapered Rippled Glass Vase with Raised Dots 20cm - Green

Description

This tapered glass vase brings gentle texture to a shelf or table, with deep vertical ripples running from rim to base and rows of raised dots set between them. The green glass catches the light on every ridge and dot, so the surface shifts as you walk past, reading deeper in the ripples and softer across the dotted bands. It stands 20cm tall and 13cm across, a comfortable size for a mantelpiece, a windowsill or the centre of a small table. The shape swells from a neat base to rounded shoulders before closing in a little at the mouth, which gives stems some support and keeps an arrangement looking full.

We think it suits almost any room. In a living room it holds a loose handful of fresh stems or a few dried grasses, in a hallway it greets guests from a console table, and on a bedside table it looks just as good standing empty. Green glass sits happily alongside natural wood, linen and pale painted walls, and the ripples give it enough presence to hold its own beside candles and ceramics. It also makes a thoughtful new home gift, ready for the first bunch of flowers in a fresh space and easy to place whatever the décor.

The vase is made from glass, and the raised ripples and dots run all the way around it, so it looks good from every side and needs no turning to find its best face. To keep it clear and bright, rinse it with warm soapy water after use, ease out any water marks between the dots with a soft brush, and dry it with a soft cloth. Changing the water every couple of days keeps fresh flowers looking their best. For a gift, add a few seasonal stems and a handwritten card, and it is ready to hand over.

Specification

Material

Glass

Colour

Green

Height

20cm

Width

13cm

Depth

6.8cm

Weight

0.475kg

Occasion

New Home

Frequently Asked

How tall is the vase?

It stands 20cm tall and measures 13cm across, a handy size for a mantelpiece, windowsill, sideboard or small table.

What colour is the vase?

The vase is green glass, and the light picks out the ripples and raised dots so the colour looks deeper in some places than others.

Can I use it for fresh flowers?

Yes, it suits a loose handful of fresh stems in water, and it works just as well with dried grasses or a few stems of foliage.

How do I clean the textured glass?

Rinse it with warm soapy water, use a soft brush to reach any marks between the raised dots, then dry it with a soft cloth.

Does it make a good new home gift?

We think so.
