solene-ruffle-velvet-linen-cushion-blue
Solene Ruffle Velvet Linen Cushion - Blue

Description

The Solene Ruffle cushion pairs a soft matt velvet face and reverse with a striped, linen-blend ruffle running right around the edge. It measures 45 x 45cm, the standard square size that fits the widest choice of cushion pads, and it comes as a cover with a zip closure so you can slip a pad in and out for washing. The velvet is a plain, dusky blue, while the ruffle carries a fine blue and cream stripe that frames each side.

A 45cm square is the workhorse of a sofa or bed, big enough to lean on and easy to pair. This one suits a relaxed, classic setting: it sits happily against floral bedding, wooden or rattan furniture and calm, muted walls, and it layers well with plainer cushions in the same tones. On a sofa it softens a corner; on a bed it works as a front-of-stack accent where the ruffle can be seen. The gentle colour keeps it easy to live with rather than loud.

The cover is 100% polyester, with a trim of 85% polyester and 15% linen, which is what gives the ruffle its slightly textured, linen-like handle. Polyester holds its colour well and resists creasing, so the velvet stays smooth with little fuss, and the zip means the cover comes off cleanly when you need to freshen it. Style it on its own for a quiet accent, or build it into a layered arrangement where the ruffled edge adds a decorative line against flatter fabrics.

Specification

Material

Case: 100% polyester.
