A satin nickel lampholder shaped like a tall rounded cup, wide at the shoulder and drawn in to a short collar at the top where the flex enters. The metal is brushed rather than polished, with fine vertical grain running down the body and a cool pale silver tone that stays soft rather than mirror-bright. There is no shade and no shade ring, so whatever lamp is fitted is the whole of what is seen. The form is plain with no turned lines anywhere on it.
