small-wavy-ribbed-glass-vase-clear
Small Wavy Ribbed Glass Vase - Clear

Description

This small ribbed glass vase follows a soft wave, so from above its outline curves like a gentle S rather than a plain circle or square. Fine vertical ribs run from base to rim all the way round, and in clear glass they catch the light and give the surface a quiet texture. It stands 15cm tall, 16cm wide and 10cm deep, a compact size that sits happily where a taller vase would crowd the space. The clear finish keeps it light to look at and lets the colour of your flowers do the talking.

At this height it suits a short bunch of fresh stems, a few garden cuttings or a single bloom with its leaves, and the wavy outline gives even a sparse arrangement some movement. We like it on a mantelpiece, a windowsill, a bookshelf or a bedside table, and at 10cm deep it fits narrower ledges where a wider vase might not. Because the glass is clear it sits comfortably with most colour schemes, from warm wood and painted walls to cool grey and white. It also makes a thoughtful housewarming gift for someone who has just moved home, especially with a handful of flowers tucked inside on the day you visit.

It is made from clear glass and ribbed all the way round, with a flat base that sits level on a shelf or table. To keep it bright, rinse it out each time you change the water, wipe the outside with a damp cloth and dry it with a soft cloth so the ribs stay free of watermarks. A narrow bottle brush reaches into the curves at each end of the wave. For the neatest look, trim stems so the blooms sit just above the rim and the ribs stay on show, or set it near a window where daylight runs through the glass all day.

Specification

Material

Glass

Colour

Clear

Height

15cm

Width

16cm

Depth

10cm

Weight

0.83kg

Occasion

New Home

Frequently Asked

How big is this vase?

It stands 15cm tall, 16cm wide and 10cm deep, a compact size for shelves, windowsills and mantelpieces.

What is the vase made of?

It is made from clear glass, with fine vertical ribs running from the base to the rim all the way round.

What shape is the vase?

Its outline follows a soft wave, curving like a gentle S when viewed from above, so it is neither round nor square.

What kind of flowers suit a vase this size?

At 15cm tall it suits short bunches, garden cuttings or a single bloom, with stems trimmed to sit just above the rim.

How should I clean the ribbed glass?

Rinse it when you change the water, wipe the outside with a damp cloth and dry it with a soft cloth to avoid watermarks.

Would it make a good housewarming gift?

Yes, the clear glass sits happily with most colour schemes, so it makes a thoughtful housewarming gift, especially filled with a few flowers.
