small-curved-double-gourd-white-confetti-glass-vase-yellow
Small Curved Double Gourd White Confetti Glass Vase - Yellow

Description

This small glass vase takes a curved double gourd shape, two rounded bubbles stacked one on the other beneath a short, narrow neck. It is a bright, sunny yellow, and through the glass runs a scatter of white streaks and flecks, the confetti pattern that gives it its liveliness. When the light catches it, the paler marks shimmer against the yellow, so it looks a little different from every side. At 15cm tall, 11cm across and 11cm deep, it is a compact piece that fits easily where a larger vase would crowd the space.

Its size suits the places where a little colour goes a long way: a bedside table, a bathroom shelf, a windowsill, a desk or the middle of a small dining table. The narrow neck holds a few stems upright; we like it with a single dahlia, a sprig of mimosa or a handful of tulips, and dried grasses or seed heads suit it as well through the colder months. Left empty, the curved shape and bright colour hold their own as a decorative piece on a bookshelf or mantelpiece. Yellow sits happily beside white, grey, navy and natural wood, and brings a cheerful lift to a plain room.

The vase is made of glass with a glazed finish and rests on a low, rounded base. To keep it bright, rinse it out when you change the flowers, wipe the outside with a damp cloth and dry it with a soft cloth. Fresh water every couple of days keeps cut stems looking their best. For an easy arrangement, set it on a tray beside a candle and a small stack of books, or give it the first daffodils of spring on a sunny windowsill, where the light through the glass shows the confetti pattern at its best.

Specification

Material

Glass

Colour

Yellow

Finish

Glazed

Height

15cm

Width

11cm

Depth

11cm

Weight

0.508kg

Frequently Asked

How big is this yellow glass vase?

It stands 15cm tall and measures 11cm across and 11cm deep, a compact size for a shelf, windowsill, desk or bedside table.

What is the vase made of?

It is made of glass with a glazed finish, in bright yellow with white confetti streaks and flecks running through it.

What flowers suit this vase?

With its short, narrow neck it suits a few stems rather than a big bunch: a single dahlia, some tulips, a sprig of mimosa or dried grasses.

How do I clean the vase?

Rinse it out when you change the flowers, wipe the outside with a damp cloth and dry it with a soft cloth to keep the glass bright.

Does it look good without flowers?

Yes.
