sitting-lion-resin-money-box-with-rear-coin-slot-yellow
Sitting Lion Resin Money Box with Rear Coin Slot - Yellow

Description

This sitting lion money box is a cheerful little saver for a child's room, cast in resin and finished in soft yellow. The lion sits upright on its haunches with a big cream mane framing a tan face, painted with round blush cheeks, small dark eyes, a smiling mouth and fine whiskers. Its tan legs end in neat black-tipped paws, and a slim tail curls up its back to a little heart at the tip. Coins drop in through a slot in the back of the mane, so the friendly face stays uncluttered from the front. It stands 11.8cm tall, 7.7cm wide and 8.7cm deep, a compact size for a shelf or bedside table.

We think it makes a thoughtful gift for a child aged between 3 and 12, and a gentle way to start the saving habit. It suits a bedroom shelf, a desk or a windowsill, anywhere pocket money and loose change can be dropped in a coin at a time. Having a special place for their pennies gives young savers a reason to keep going, and the lion's calm, happy expression makes it a piece they will want to keep in view. The soft yellow, cream and tan colouring sits happily in a pastel or animal-themed room.

Being resin, it holds its moulded detail well, from the textured stripe down the lion's nose to the cut points of its mane. It is a keepsake for a shelf rather than a toy, so it is happiest standing on a flat, steady surface. To keep it looking fresh, dust it with a soft dry cloth, or wipe it gently with a damp cloth and dry it straight away. For a gift with a head start, pop a few coins inside before you wrap it, so the first savings are already waiting.

Specification

Material

Resin

Colour

Yellow

Height

11.8cm

Width

7.7cm

Depth

8.7cm

Weight

0.182kg

Frequently Asked

How big is the lion money box?

It stands 11.8cm tall, 7.7cm wide and 8.7cm deep, so it fits easily on a shelf, desk or bedside table.

What is the lion money box made of?

It is made of resin with a smooth painted finish, in soft yellow with a cream mane, a tan face and legs, and black-tipped paws.

Where do the coins go in?

Coins go in through a slot cut into the back of the lion's mane, which keeps the smiling face clear at the front.

What age is this money box suited to?

We suggest it for children aged between 3 and 12, as a keepsake for their room and a cheerful place to save pocket money.

How should I clean the money box?

Dust it with a soft dry cloth, or wipe it gently with a damp cloth and dry it straight away to keep the painted finish looking its best.

Does it need fixing in place?

No, the lion sits upright on its own with no fixings, so it can go on any flat, steady surface such as a shelf or windowsill.
