sitting-dumbo-elephant-resin-money-box-with-coin-slot-grey
Sitting Dumbo Elephant Resin Money Box with Coin Slot - Grey

Description

This sweet money box takes the shape of Dumbo, the baby elephant, sitting with his trunk tucked down and one great ear swept forward around his face. He is made from resin and painted in soft grey with pale pink inside his ears, and the matt finish gives him a gentle, chalky look rather than a shine. His big blue eyes and raised brows catch that shy, hopeful expression. At 14cm tall, 16cm across and 10.5cm deep, he is a good size for a shelf or chest of drawers without crowding it, and the coin slot sits neatly at the back of his head.

We think he belongs in a nursery or a child's bedroom, where he can sit on a shelf and quietly collect pocket money and the odd coin from visiting grandparents. He makes a thoughtful gift for a baby or a toddler, and for children up to twelve who are starting to save towards something of their own. The soft grey and blush pink sit happily with neutral nursery schemes, sage greens and warm woods, so he suits a room long after the baby years. Please treat him as a keepsake for display rather than a toy for a child to play with.

He is a freestanding piece that sits on his own feet and rounded body on any level surface, so there is nothing to hang or fix. To keep the matt grey and pink looking fresh, dust him with a soft dry cloth and wipe away any marks with a slightly damp cloth, then let him dry; strong cleaners are best avoided on painted resin. As a present, he pairs nicely with a first coin or two dropped through the slot before wrapping, so the first rattle is part of the gift, and he will sit happily on a nursery shelf for years as a reminder of those early days.

Specification

Material

Polystone

Colour

Grey

Finish

Matt

Height

14cm

Width

16cm

Depth

10.5cm

Weight

0.31kg

Design

Dumbo

Frequently Asked

How big is the Dumbo money box?

He stands 14cm tall, measures 16cm across and is 10.5cm deep, a comfortable size for a nursery shelf, dresser or bedside table.

What is the money box made of?

It is made from resin with a matt painted finish, in soft grey with pale pink on the inside of Dumbo's ears.

Where is the coin slot?

The slot sits at the back of Dumbo's head, so from the front you see only his face, his trunk and those big ears.

Is it a good gift for a baby?

We think it makes a lovely gift for a baby or toddler, and children up to twelve enjoy it too.
