Six clear glass panels make up the sides, each set into a slim iron frame finished in antique brass and soldered at every join. The lid is a shallow hexagonal pyramid of six triangular panels meeting at a point in the middle, hinged along the back edge, with a half round brass tab at the front to lift it by.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eIt is transparent on every side, so what goes into it stays on show rather than shut away. It takes rings, a fine chain and a bangle, and they stay readable through the glass with the lid down. At 5cm high it holds flat things well, chains, studs, rings and a bangle, rather than anything that stands up, and it takes up little of a dressing table or a shelf.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe frame is iron and the panels are glass.
