single-stem-crochet-leaves-ornament-39cm-green
Single Stem Crochet Leaves Ornament 39cm - Green

Description

This crochet leaves ornament is a single green stem set with seven crocheted leaves, a small piece of greenery that never needs watering. One leaf sits at the tip, with three pairs below it climbing the upper half of the stem, each leaf worked in neat rows of crochet so the stitches give it a soft, textured look. The lower half is a plain, slim stem, which gives plenty of length to slip into a vase or a jar. It measures 39cm long, 5cm wide and 1.5cm deep, so in a vase it rises tall enough to be seen on a shelf without crowding the space around it.

Because it never wilts, it suits places where cut stems would not last, such as a hallway shelf, a bedside table, a desk, a mantelpiece or a windowsill. Stand it alone in a bud vase for a simple, quiet look, or tuck it in among dried flowers or other stems to add a touch of green to an arrangement. It also makes a sweet small gift on its own, a little token to show you are thinking of someone, and it will still be on the shelf long after a bunch of cut flowers has gone.

Each leaf is crocheted and set along the stem, and the stem itself is finished in matching green from top to bottom, so it looks tidy from every side. It is a decorative piece for indoors, best enjoyed in a vase rather than handled often. To keep it looking neat, dust it now and then with a soft dry cloth, and keep it away from water. For a gift, lay it across a wrapped present in place of a bow, or tie it to a card with a length of ribbon; at home, a narrow vase on a shelf at eye level lets the leaves show at their best.

Specification

Colour

Green

Size

39 x 5cm

Depth

1.5cm

Weight

0.012kg

Frequently Asked

How tall is the crochet leaves ornament?

It measures 39cm long, 5cm wide and 1.5cm deep, which suits a bud vase, a jar or a narrow vase on a shelf.

Does it need watering or any special care?

It never needs watering.
