silas-giraffe-resin-table-lamp-with-linen-shade-gold
Silas Giraffe Resin Table Lamp with Linen Shade - Gold

Description

Silas is a table lamp in the shape of a giraffe, standing on a flat plinth with its long neck passing up through a linen drum shade and its head rising just clear of the top. The body is polyresin finished in gold, and the patches of the giraffe's coat are moulded into the surface, so light catches the raised edges all over it. At 70cm tall, 35cm long and 28cm wide, it is a generous lamp that gives a room a talking point before it is even switched on.

Its height and footprint suit a console table, a sideboard or a wide chest of drawers, where the giraffe can be seen side on, from nose to tail. It brings warmth and a little humour to a living room, a hallway or a bedroom, and it suits anyone who loves animal forms but wants a lamp that still feels grown up. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only. The cable is 150cm long and the switch sits on the cord, so you can turn it on and off without reaching behind the shade.

It takes an E27 bulb of up to 40W, and the bulb is not included, so have one ready; a warm-toned bulb sits well against the gold. The maker's assembly instructions come as a PDF download. At 2.3KG it has real weight to it. Care is simple: wipe it clean with a moist cloth. Linen gently softens light as it passes through, and polyresin holds fine moulded detail, which is why the coat pattern reads so clearly. For styling, set it at one end of a console with a low stack of books beside it, and let the giraffe's head be the highest point on the table.

Specification

Width

28cm

Length

35cm

Height

70cm

Material

Polyresin, Linen

Colour

Gold

Bulb fitting

E27

Maximum bulb

40W

Bulb included

No

Cable length

150cm

Cable colour

White

Switch

On cord

IP rating

IP20

Shade size

Height 21.5cm

Care

Wipe clean with a moist cloth

Weight

2.3KG

Downloads

Assembly instructions (part 1) (PDF)

Assembly instructions (part 2) (PDF)

Assembly instructions (part 3) (PDF)

Frequently Asked

Does the giraffe lamp come with a bulb?

No, the bulb is not included.
