Each has a wide, shallow, rounded bowl on a slender stem and a broad round foot. A spray coloured finish gives each glass its multicoloured look, with the colour shifting gradually from the bowl down to the foot and no print or pattern to interrupt it. Each glass holds 270ml and is 13cm tall and 9.5cm across. That is a generous size for a coupe, with room for a shaken cocktail or a pour of fizz without filling it to the rim.

A coupe is the classic shape for champagne and for cocktails served without ice, such as a daiquiri or a gimlet. With six to the set, there are enough for a dinner party, a birthday toast or a New Year's Eve gathering. Between occasions they sit happily on a drinks trolley, a sideboard or an open kitchen shelf. The wide bowl also makes a pretty home for a small dessert, a scoop of sorbet or a chocolate mousse, at the end of a meal. They suit anyone who likes to set a table with a little ceremony, and they make a thoughtful gift for a couple setting up home or a friend who mixes a good drink.

Each glass is 100% glass with a spray coloured finish, and they need a gentle hand. They cannot go in the dishwasher, the microwave or the oven. The maker recommends washing them by hand and using no aggressive detergents or abrasive agents, so warm water, a mild washing-up liquid and a soft cloth are all they need. Dry them with a lint-free tea towel. For a styling note, line all six along a mirrored tray on a drinks trolley or set one at each place on a white tablecloth, where their colour will catch the evening light.

Specification

Height

13cm

Diameter

9.5cm

Sold as

Set of 6

Material

100% Glass

Colour

Multi

Finish

Spray coloured

Capacity

270ml

Dishwasher safe

No

Microwave safe

No

Oven safe

No

Food safe

Yes

Care

We recommend handwashing.
