sierra-plain-shaggy-rug-slate-grey
Sierra Plain Shaggy Rug - Slate Grey

Description

The Sierra is a textured shaggy rug in Slate Grey, a plain design with no pattern to compete with the rest of the room. The colour reads as a cool grey with a soft blue cast, and the shaggy pile catches the light so the surface shifts gently between lighter and darker tones. It is machine made from polypropylene, and the textured pile is soft underfoot.

We see this slate grey shaggy rug as a living room rug. It softens a hard floor and sits happily beside grey or neutral furniture, and the plain colour lets cushions, throws and artwork take the lead. It comes in four sizes: 80 by 150cm, 120 by 170cm, 160 by 220cm and 200 by 290cm. The smallest suits a spot beside a sofa or in front of a chair, the two middle sizes sit nicely in front of a sofa or under a coffee table, and the largest is big enough to anchor a whole seating area with the furniture standing on it.

In practical terms, the soft shaggy pile settles the question of comfort: this is a rug for bare feet and for sitting on the floor, not a flatweave. The textured pile gives the surface movement and depth of colour, so a plain rug never looks flat or dull, even at the larger sizes. Before you choose, measure the space and mark it out on the floor, leaving a border of floor showing around the rug.

Usually dispatched within 3 to 5 working days.

Specification

Design

Sierra

Colour

Slate Grey

Sizes

80 x 150 cm, 120 x 170 cm, 160 x 220 cm, 200 x 290 cm

Material

Polypropylene

Construction

Machine made

Pile

Shaggy, textured

Suitable for

Living room

Dispatch

Usually dispatched within 3 to 5 working days

Frequently Asked

What sizes does the Sierra shaggy rug come in?

It comes in four rectangular sizes: 80 by 150cm, 120 by 170cm, 160 by 220cm and 200 by 290cm, from a small rug beside a chair to one large enough for a whole seating area.

What is the Sierra rug made from?

It is machine made from polypropylene, a synthetic fibre, with a shaggy, textured pile that is soft underfoot.

Is the Slate Grey colour more grey or more blue?

It is a cool grey with a soft blue cast.
