seville-ceramic-pendant-light-red-iron
Seville Ceramic Pendant Light - Red Iron

Description

The Seville is a ceramic pendant light with a deep drum shade in our Red Iron glaze: a warm red-brown with a pale, crackled pattern that runs across the surface like sun-dried earth. The drum rises to a gently domed top and is open at the base, so the bulb hangs just beneath the rim and throws its light downwards. The shade is 15.5cm tall and 28cm across, a compact size that sits comfortably over a table without crowding it. The metalwork is brass, and it comes in five finishes: Antique Brass, Antique Silver, Matt Black, Polished Brass or Satin Brass, with Matt Black painted to RAL 9005. Whichever you choose, the glaze stays Red Iron.

We see it hanging over a dining table, where the textured glaze is close enough to enjoy, or in a living room above a sideboard or a favourite chair. Its earthy red-brown sits naturally with timber, linen, stone and terracotta, and the choice of metal lets you lean warmer with the brasses or cooler with Antique Silver and Matt Black. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms indoors. It takes one E27 bulb of up to 40W, and bulbs are sold separately, so you can choose the bulb you like for your room.

Each Seville is made to order for you in Ireland, pairing a ceramic shade with brass metalwork that carries the finish you pick. It hangs from a chain, and as a mains fitting it is for a qualified electrician to wire in. When you choose a bulb, remember that it sits just below the open rim and stays in view, so pick one you are happy to look at as well as to light a room by. Our photographs show the Antique Brass finish.

Specification

Finish

Antique Brass, Antique Silver, Matt Black, Polished Brass & Satin Brass

Glaze

Red Iron

Paint Colours (RAL)

Matt Black RAL 9005

Material

Brass & Ceramic

Height

15.5cm

Width

28cm

Light Source

1 x E27 (bulb not included)

Max Bulb Wattage

40W per bulb

IP Rating

IP20

Protection Class

Class I

Warranty

5 years (manufacturer)

Lead time

Made to order, usually delivered in 5 to 7 weeks

Frequently Asked

What bulb does the Seville pendant light take?

It takes one E27 bulb of up to 40W.
