set-of-2-gold-edged-paper-christmas-tree-decorations-15cm-blue
Set of 2 Gold Edged Paper Christmas Tree Decorations 15cm - Blue

Description

This paper bauble decoration brings a rich dark blue and a fine line of gold to the Christmas tree. It is made from folded paper in a honeycomb pattern, worked into an ornate tiered shape: a small rounded crown at the top, a wide full body through the middle and two smaller tiers tapering to a neat point at the base. Every fold is finished with a thin gold edge, so the layers catch the glow of the tree lights and pick out the outline. At 15cm, it is a generous size for a bauble, big enough to hold its own on the tree. A slim blue cord at the top lets it hang straight from a branch.

We like it best on a tree dressed in deep jewel tones, beside burgundy, emerald and gold, though it gives a bold point of colour on a white tree too. Hang it towards the outer branches, where its tiers can be seen in full. It works away from the tree as well: tie it to a mantelpiece garland, a stair rail or bare branches in a tall vase, and it brings a festive note to a hallway, living room or dining room. As a small Christmas gift, it is a thoughtful extra to tuck in with a card or a bottle when visiting.

The bauble is made from folded paper in honeycomb layers, with the gold edging running along each one. As with any paper decoration, it is happiest indoors in a dry room, so keep it clear of candles, heaters and damp. Dust it with a soft dry cloth or brush, and avoid water, which can mark paper. Between seasons, wrap it in tissue and box it somewhere dry so the folds keep their shape. For a finished look, hang it alongside plain gold baubles so its tiers and gilded edges stay the focus.

Specification

Colour

Blue

Weight

0.024kg

Occasion

Christmas

Frequently Asked

How big is this paper bauble?

It measures 15cm, which is a generous size for a bauble and shows up clearly on the tree without crowding a branch.

What is the bauble made from?

It is made from folded paper in a honeycomb pattern, shaped into ornate tiers, with a thin gold edge along every fold.

What colour is it?

The paper is a dark blue, and each layer is traced with a fine gold edge that catches the light from the tree.

How does it hang?

A slim blue cord at the top lets it hang straight from a branch, a garland, a stair rail or bare branches in a vase.

Can I hang it outdoors?

As it is made from paper, we suggest keeping it indoors in a dry room, away from damp, candles and heaters.

How should I look after it?

Dust it gently with a soft dry cloth or brush and avoid water.
