One face carries a sessile leaf motif, a row of stylised leaf sprigs in green and slate blue set against a flecked beige field. Turn it over and the second face is the Pinetum stripe, a softer blue-grey and cream ticking. It is one cushion with two faces, so you choose which look faces the room and change it whenever the mood or the season shifts.

An oblong cushion at this width sits well along the back of a sofa or an armchair, filling the space a square cushion leaves empty and giving the small of your back somewhere to rest. The colouring is quiet and countryish, greens and blue-greys on warm neutral, so it works alongside plainer cushions and natural-toned upholstery without competing with them. The reverse stripe gives you a way to shift the balance of a room from patterned to calmer without buying anything new.

Being pure cotton, it is a natural fibre that feels breathable and takes a printed pattern crisply, which is why the leaf and the stripe both read cleanly. The edges are finished with a pom-pom trim in a deep blue-grey, a decorative touch that frames both faces, and the cover fastens with a zip closure so the pad can be taken out. Reverse it from leaf to stripe as the light or the mood changes, and let it sit against solid colours that pick up the greens or the greys.

Specification

Material

100% cotton

Design

Sessile leaf print one side, Pinetum stripe reverse, reversible

Construction

Printed on textured fabric, pom-pom trim, zip closure

Size

30 x 50cm

Sold as

Single cushion

Frequently Asked

Is the cushion really reversible?

Yes.
