sendero-wooden-pendant-light-satin-nickel
Sendero Wooden Pendant Light - Satin Nickel

Description

The Sendero is a wooden pendant light with a tapered drum shade made from slender vertical slats of maple-coloured wood, hung from a round ceiling canopy and slim drop in satin nickel. It stands 130cm tall overall and measures 45cm across the shade, a generous width that holds its own over a table or in the centre of a room. It takes a single E27 bulb of up to 60W, which is not included, so the colour and warmth of the light are yours to choose. The IP rating is IP20, which settles where it belongs: indoors, in a dry room.

We think it is at its best above a dining table, where its 45cm width gives the table a clear centre and the wood brings warmth to a plain ceiling. It sits just as comfortably in a living room or a bedroom with a natural, pared-back or cottage look, and the earthy maple tone pairs well with oak furniture, linen and pale walls. Because the slats are spaced apart, light passes through the gaps between them, so the shade glows softly instead of reading as a solid block. It suits anyone who wants the texture of wood overhead without the bulk of a heavy fitting.

The body is steel finished in satin nickel, a soft, low-sheen silver that sits quietly beside the wood rather than competing with it. Look closely and you will see the slats slot into a slim band around the rim, while their darker cut edges outline each strip and give the shade a crafted, layered look. There is no switch on the light itself, as it is switched at the wall, and it runs on 220-240V mains and is installed by a qualified electrician. The packed weight is 1.78KG, and the installation instructions come as a download. Have an E27 bulb of up to 60W ready before fitting day.

Specification

Overall Height

130cm

Diameter

45cm

Body Material

Steel

Body Colour

Satin nickel

Shade Material

Wood

Shade Colour

Maple

Light Source

E27 (bulb not included)

Wattage

Max 60W

Switch

None (switched at the wall)

IP Rating

IP20

Protection Class

Class I

Voltage

220-240V, 50/60Hz

Weight (packed)

1.78KG

Downloads

Installation Instructions (PDF)

Frequently Asked

Can the Sendero pendant go in a bathroom?

No. It is rated IP20, which means indoors and dry, so we suggest a dining room, living room or bedroom rather than a bathroom or anywhere damp.

Which bulb does it take?

It takes one E27 bulb of up to 60W.
