The plates are held clear of each other so light escapes as bright rings between them as well as out of the open bottom. The glass is warm white and evenly diffusing. The column is a plain slim chrome tube running the full height to a flat round chrome disc base. The chrome is mirror-bright against the soft white. It measures 40cm across.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt stands beside a chair or at the end of a sofa, where it puts one pool of light exactly where it is needed without lighting the whole space.
